Hi

Which forum do you think is the best combined with Coppermine?

I'm using phpBB but it seems like it not very good with Coppermine.

I've seen some who were using vBullentin. Is this one better?

Kind Regards /Allan

IMO, phpBB sucks.  I won't pay for a bbs app, so vBulletin is out.  I use SMF, a great bbs app.  Fantastic development team, great support, totally free, and Coppermine comes with a bridge that works with it.  SMF just released 1.0.1, a bugfix for the 1.0 release that happened last month.

Thanks for that

I will try the SMF

Will it be possible for me to import my phpBB users into SMF then?

You'll have to ask at the phpBB and SMF sites.  We don't have anything to do with their software packages.

there is a phpbb to smf converter available, yes. As kegobeer suggested: http://www.simplemachines.org/download.php?converters
However, I'm not sure what you're looking for in another bbs software: although I prefer smf over phpBB, it is pretty mainstream and basically does the same thing smf does - there will be no closer integration between coppermine and smf than between coppermine and phpbb. Al it does is have a common user management; there will be no whistles and bells inside smf coming from coppermine that you don't actually have when coppermine and phpbb are bridged.
