I wanted to post this in the mod / hacks forum, but it did not give an option to create a new topic.

I'm looking for a way to have my images searchable by someone querying technorati tags.  I really dont know the best way to do this, and I can't code much of anything.  So let me tell you my ideas...

For a new picture that is uploaded to coppermine, create a mini blog entry type ping to technorati.  use the image title as the same field a blog post title, the image description as the blog content, and the image kewords and technorati tags.  You dont have to actually create these things in coppermine, just 'ping' technorati with these fields instead of what a blog would use in the fields.

Thanks!

You can't create new threads on the mods board because it is not meant for mod requests, but for actual mods (code contributions), so this is expected behaviour.

http://www.technorati.com/developers/pingconfig.html This page does not talk about Title of the post / keywords /  - If you can research a bit about how these things are picked up by technorati may be I can come up with something. In case you did not know there is an rss feed mod available for Coppermine.

Just give us all the peices of the puzzle and we will try to solve it for you :)
