Can not send ecards

If the email has following format, ecard connot be sent:

sender.name@aon.at

If there is a dot before the @, the script is telling, that the adress isnt a valid adress.
I have many friends with adresses in this format.

Is here somebody, who can help???

What version are you using ? I can send to that address just fine.
