OK Im new to this so please excuse me if I don't word things right...  ;)

OK I have managed to change what I thought was the background, but there is still a very pale background behind my custom header and the centre table etc....

Here is my gallery and you will see that the background image I want is only in the table around the centre table: http://www.kirkyskreations.com/gallery

The image I want to use is: http://www.kirkyskreations.com/gallery/themes/kk_theme/images/background.gif

I want all the light grey parts to be the same blue background image.. so my ONE question is:

How do I change this ???

Thankyou for reading,

Please disregard this post I fugured out a way around it. But I do have another question if it is ok.

Am I allowed to make the white box 750 pixels wide so it's the same size as my header and sit stuck up to the header so there is no blue gap inbetween it and the header? ? If I make the blue table smaller I can do this but then I get that light grey background behind it again.

Currently it is at 100% and that is why the background completely fills the space, I also had to put my header in a template with the same background to fill that space also, otherwise there was just a light grey then a border of the blue bacground image.

here is my page again: http://www.kirkyskreations.com/gallery/

Hope what I mean make sense..

http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#config_album_list
setting to change: Width of the main table (pixels or %)

You have a cute header but the page looks odd because it looks like you just mushed two separate things together. Looking in the source code, you basically included code that is meant for a complete page and put it before the gallery code.

Please see this http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php#customHeader on how to customize a header so that it blends in with the page.

thanks, yes I tried changing the table but when I uploaded the file it came up with an error message , something along the lines of not being able to find the template.html file. So I thought maybe it wasn't allowed... I tried that including custom header FAQ but it didn't work for me, I actually got the code for mine froma different post. I was so please that at least I had the header there I was willing to not worry about the 'mushed' look  :D OK but I think I will try that again.. so I just include my custom-header.php file where it says :

include('/path/your_file.php');

and don't change anything else right. Do I have to uplaod my custom-header.php file to the : 'gallery/kk_theme' files? or can I leave it here : http://kirkyskreations.com/NEW/custom-header.php ?

post the actual error message, not some wild guessing...
And please keep in mind that we have a "one question per thread" policy on this board you agreed to respect when you signed up; I can't see how the background color is suppossed to relate to a custom include...

I was just replying to what answer I got from TranzNDance as I had figured out the background problem of my first message and when I was including the header it also had the pale grey background so I thought it was something to do with that. I am very sorry.. My background colour reduced when I reduced the size of the table and I wanted it to line up with the header thats all...  :\'(
