how can i setup individual thumbnails for video posts,

i already have the thumnails made

Name them the same as the video, but with the prefix 'thumb_' and the ext .jpg.

upload them by ftp into the same folder the video files are in, that's it.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
