Help w/ Categorys and Albums

i would like to make it so that you can only see the main categorys on the index page and not them albums inside them, how do i do that?

you start by reading the documentation, because this is covered in it. Then you go to coppermine config and set "Show first level album thumbnails in categories" to "no".

i have my settings on "no" yet i still see albums, and the documentation gives me no new information.

You will only see albums with this setting if they are not actually in a category.

Move them into a category.
