Ok.

Look.

I went to http://forums.webattention.net/archive/index.php/t-235.html and I cannot see how any thing there can help me since I am not the server provider. I am a client. I contacted my server provider and they said they needed more information so I too refered them to the above URL.

Like what do I actually I have to tell them to look into to help me get this solve?

Both links I provided explain that those errors are server related security settings.  Your host needs to look at any recent changes to security they implemented that would cause 406 errors.

So if they can't do anything about it .. I guess this can't be solve too right?

kegobeer

There may be a solution, but I don't have any ideas.  Unfortunately, everything I've read points to the server and not the website content.  This thread will stay open and maybe someone else will have a possible fix to try.

Hi Bryan,

It seems that the mod_security matched /scripts string in url.
Please rename scripts.js to other name and it should work.

Best Regards,

Ok that was the reply I got from my server side. So now if I do rename scripts.js ... where do I go to edit the template to match the new filename?

Abbas Ali

Edit the file template.html in the themes/themeName/ folder.

Find this code
<script type="text/javascript" src="scripts.js"></script>
and replace scripts.js with the new file name.

You will have to do this for each theme.

maybe to prevent this from happening, the future upgrades should rename scripts.js to something else ...

I find this happens an aweful lot, so much so it's annoying.

One thing tho, if I let the page load fully not just the layout/picture, I mean till the progress bar in the bottom right of the IE window stops. Then I click on the picture that I want to be displayed full screen, it works 100% of the time.

http://www.icompletedtheinternet.com/gallery/

That's a link to my gallery, on a supposed fast server, yet it takes ages for the scripts to load/initialise.

Tranz

I guess the page loaded too quickly for me to even see the progress bar. The longest delay was getting to your gallery but after that it was really quick with DSL. A trace to your server showed some slowness in the last few hops.
