links from thumbnails server provider to raw files localhost

hi !

I'm newbie and just install what it seems a powerfull software 

just one question :
i'd like to install thumbnails and the soft in the server of a provider but not the original files (i have most of 2000 photos and i don't think i have enough place in the provider)
original files will then be stored in my computer

is it possible to load the original file in my computer when you clic on the thumbnail in the server provider ? (i have not find any informations about this)
should i install mods, re-write php or something like that?
if not, is it better to install the server as localhost?

You'll have to FTP your images to the site that runs your Coppermine gallery.  Coppermine doesn't support hosting images elsewhere.  We don't recommend running your own server from home because of the inherent security risks.  It's better to find a host that gives you more web space.

Unless you're uploading huge files, 2000 pictures shouldn't take up much space.  You should resize your images before uploading them (don't post 1800x1200, 2mb files); this makes it easier for your visitors to view the files.
