Hi,
Im getting the error

"

Disk quota exceeded

You have a space quota of 2500000K, your pictures currently use 0K, adding this picture would make you exceed your quota.

"

well, its funny as I have no images insatlled and the image im trying to upload is oly about 25kb.
Note: Im trying to upload via a normal (test) account. Not an admin account.

what can th problem be?

Tranz

Does your webhost actually give you more than 2.5GB storage?

volkan

oops, suppoest to be 25meg!
got numbers work (its a private server).
But it should still work right?
(btw, what is 25mb in K??)

Tranz

1000 K = ~ 1MB

I think there are issues with people using ridiculously large quota.

No answer yet???

I have my config file set to allow 5120 KB for disk quota.  Now, I understand this to be per picture.  However, one of my site members is having problems uploading because he is getting the "disk quota exceeded" message.  I have mine and everyone else set for 5120 KB.  I am currently using 190,000 KB of space for my pics and I have NO problems uploading.  What is the problem with his???

Nibbler

The quota refers to that set in the groups page. That is the size limit for all pictures collectively.

dwjantz

That makes no sense to me, since as I said above, my quota is the same and I have over 190,000 KB of pics up, so it says in the User page.  But I see I do have Public Upload approval set as Yes. Would that make a difference?  Can I change these quotas?  But even if I do it doesn't explain why I can have so much but the users can't.  He only has 16 pictures up.

Nibbler

The quota doesn't apply to the admin while in admin mode.

dwjantz

Ahhhhhh! That is the answer!

I changed his quota now he has no problem.  What have you found to be a good disk quota average for users?
