Ive read over some things concerning albums and to my knowledge have followed the directions for putting photos in certain categories/albums properly. However the only album a registered user can upload to is "User gallery" we've tried everything we've read on how to put these photos in other categories but have yet to be able to do it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are very new to coppermine. Thanks, Applerust

You can move files that have been uploaded to user's personal galleries to public albums using the "edit file description" screen.
To allow users to upload to public albums, you have to allow the groups your users belong to (usually "registered") to upload to public albums (in the "groups" control panel and then (that's the important bit) go to the "properties" screen of the albums you want your users to be able to upload to and enable "visitors can upload" there (if this option is not there for you, you have to enable " Users can have private albums" in coppermine config before - this option is not named adequatly and will be changed in future versions of coppermine, it basically manages if you can set permissions in the properties screen at all). To find out more, read the documentation that comes with coppermine.
