PHP Guard Dog

I have a php password authentication program called php guard dog.  Its a fairly simple program that protects whatever pages I choose by inserting 3 lines of code at the beginning of each page.  When I insert the code in the index.php for coppermine I receiceive the following error after login through php guarddog:

Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /home/theparke/public_html/pictures/include/init.inc.php on line 77

Any help would be appreciated.

Coppermine already has a password protection system - PHP guard dog may not work with Coppermine and in any case it is something you should ask to PHP Guarddog support
