Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'

I am getting this error
only when I hit the Categories button in ADmin view.

I am intergrating with phpbb which works fine.

The category view in Coppermine has nothing to do with phpbb

However I get this error message only when I click on categories in admin panel which is mind boggling



Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to Invision Board database !

MySQL said: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket  '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)



I am not running invision board!

Can someone help me please?

Go into your "phpMyAdmin" thing and then find the table that is given in that error.

it should say "busy"

all you need to do is click Repair and then you are set.

Enable debug mode, and post the actual error message.  Do not post the debug output.
