Login Failure After Upgrade From Fantastico

I use Coppermine on several sites and upgraded to 1.3.3 from Fantastico today.  All sites are on the same server and all installations were successful.  However, on one site, I am unable to login with any user/password combination, including administrator and a newly created user/password.  The program wecomes the user then returns to the guest page.

1. Is there a way to correct this?
2. Is there a way to reinstall Coppermine from Fantastico without losing 1500+ files, albums and categories?

It sounds like a cookie issue.  I doubt anything is lost or seriously broken.  On the site in question, try clearing the cookies and see what happens.
