Hi all

I have done a fresh standalone install with Fantastico software. When I try to loggin I get  this error "Couldn't log in. Try again". The version is 1.3.4.

Can anyone give me a hand?
Thx

Abbas Ali

Please check the username and password. Open the database table cpg134_users in phpMyAdmin and see what is the username and password. Check whether the un/pass you are entering is same as the one in database.

Thx Abbas Ali:D

Actually, the password was not the one that I have specified earlier. It seems that fantastico and the coppermine instalation do not agree in some things!

So is the problem solved? Please be clear in your postings.

...that's we we don't recommend fantastico at all - it's buggy. Use the coppermine version you can download from our pages, not the crippled, buggy fantastico one.

I have same problem and I dont know where to find the database file to check.

Abbas Ali

Ask your webhost whether you have phpMyAdmin or not. Ask your webhost how to browse your database.

ok found the php database and did what you said .username was listed but no password was listed. So logged in with username only and no password .it welcomed me and said continue but went back to that same first page and did not offer me an admin area or any control panel just same front screen.

harveypaul,

Could be better if you don't ask the same question in two different posts... (there)

PS : the "php database" is an nonsense. PHP is a script language, a program. The database is MySQL. ;)

ok sorry.New to this.I thought my comp crshed partway through loggin post so I reposted.Ok I take your point >Forgive me for using the wrong termanology. But I got the basic jist of what the other guy said and looked in phpmyadmin found somin under user and see the username was listed but no password listed .As I said before typed in username and it recgnised me it goes back to the same front screen afterwards.i am stuck.

In phpmyadmin, add a password to the corresponding user and try logging in with the user and password.
