I keep getting a memory error when I try to add a picture to an album

Hi,

I'm a new Coppermine user and I do like the software in general.

However, I really don't think I have memory problems on my server yet I keep getting a
memory problem when I try to add pics to an album.

I am able to upload successfully, but then when I click on 'Continue' to add the pic
to an album, I keep getting this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6456 bytes)

I am on a Red Hat/Linux server running php 4.4 and apache 1.3

This is very puzzling.

Please help.
