Renaming user accounts possible?

I've searched the forums for a while and was not able to locate an answer. Is there a way to change a user name of an existing user? There is a thread that mentions that one will run into problems after renaming the user: http://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/index.php?topic=9928.0
I'm curious if anyone has experimented with this.

I am particularly interested in renaming the admin account, as I find myself in the situation where I've used that account long enough to make it a pain manually reuploading all the pictures into another account's galleries...
