Setup of slideshow picture size?

I couldn't find the answer to this and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction or tell how.

Is there a way in the config or setup or coding of some file so that I can change the size of the pictures of the slideshow? I want the pictures in the slide show to be larger..maybe like halfscreen size; I'm not looking for fullscreen.

The slideshow uses the intermediate images.  Making them "larger" (by forcing a larger height and width) would just result in poor looking pixellated images.
