On my site, I have the 1.4.1 standalone and I'm constantly getting "Fatal Error". All my other users get this, too. Sometimes, the gallery will work for a few minutes out of the day, but that rarely happens anymore. I suppose somewhere you all have already documented this problem, but I'm getting pretty sick of the gallery always telling me this and not being able to view or upload photos for weeks at a time. :(

If you can't stand this error, you need to downgrade to the latest stable version. There is no support for beta 1.4x, which is not recommended for production use.

If this is supposed to be a bug report, you need to provide more details. I was able to view your gallery fine.

I can wait a few more months, actually, just so I know something IS INDEED being done about it. :)

Nothing is being done about it. You need to post more details eg. by being in debug mode when this happens and posting the error message.

Well, I'm just in regular admin mode, with no debugging mode selected. What else should I be more specific about?

Celia,

I too had no problem viewing your gallery and photos.  But I did notice that your server is apache 1.x, CPG recommends 2.x.  If you are on a remote service, your issue might be server based.  Most of mine have been -- my remote service uses apache 1.3.  Perhaps they have been doing some modifications and upgrades as many servers seem to be doing recently.  You may want to check with them.

Another thing I noticed (although it has nothing to do with your issue here) but your Forum button is spelled "Fourm" .

Dennis,

How do I get my friend, Tim, to upgrade from apache 1.3 to 2x? It's on his server space. What's a remote service? Please forgive my ignorance and enlighten me on this one. Thanks for steering me in the right direction, and I will correct the spelling of "Forum" on my menu button. :) :)

apache 1.3 is fine, there is no need to update to 2 to run Coppermine.

Suaviterinmodo

Then what's the problem if it's not apache 1.3?

Enable debug mode as suggested and post the error next time you get it. Unless you do that all we can do is guess at the problem.

I can't because my forum is Invision Powerboard 1.3--I didn't realize until JUST NOW (GASP) that CPG 1.4.1 would only work with IPB 2.0! :o :o My fault! Gosh, I'm sorry, everybody!  :( :-[ :\'(

in the future, please rtfm before posting -  especially when using beta software that clearly is labelled as unsupported software!
