navigation images not loading

hey,
i just installed coppermine on one of my sites,
but for some reasons the small navigation images aren´t loading.
and i can´t find out why  :cry:

Well the images are certianly where they are supposed to be, so I think it is probably a permissions problem. You need to set your images directory to be readable by all.

the permissions are right.

the strange thing is, i don´t even get an error message.
it´s just trying to connect and connect and connect.
it´s not loading, it´s not producing an error message and it´s not timing out  :x

ok, i found the problem.
i had a wrong line in the .htacces file, which produced an endless redirection for gif files.
