Hi All,

Today when is was fillining Coppermine with a big amount of images, i found out the a couple of them were in the wrong directory. After thinking al little bit i knew i had to place them in the correct folder. The best way to do this at this moment is de following:
- Backup the correct file in de wrond dir
- Delete the file from within Coppermine
- Place the file in the correct dir and read the dir back in again with Batch add files.
I'm i right?!

First of all, you probably ask, why are you doing that, it can be in the original (wrong) dir and in Coppermine you don't notice a thing?!
Wel you're right in that, but i have 2 problems with that:
- I like to keep the correct files in the correct dir's!
- I'm testing coppermine, so if i dislike i delete CM remove the thumbnail files and then i'm done!

What i hoped for a feature or option or what ever is the following:
- Place everything i one folders (let's say import).
- Manage them to the correct Albums
And when you're all done with the managing part, press a button and the files are beeing moved from the import dir to the directories connected to corresponding Albums.

What i like to know: Is this feature available? or is there a pluging for it? If both is no, is there a way i can ask it to get on a future feature list?

I hope you can help me.

Thanks in Advance, Ge-Flopt

no, coppermine doesn't move files around, and we're not planning to do so. As you already said: the coppermine db keeps track of file locations, the human doesn't have to.

Hmmm it's a pitty, then it raises a new question, is it possible to create add-on's, using a standard fromework or something?
Then i want to play CM and create one.

Coppermine 1.4 has a plugin system, it may well be possible to create a plugin to accomplish what you are after.
