not sure why this happened

I tried modding something in the index.php to change the albums sorting order. After I did that, I got this error:
"There was an error while processing a database query."
Underneath this it had this box that had this in it:

I went to view the gallery in Admin mode and I can see all the catagories and pictures, BUT
on every page are these example:

Before making changes to your files, always back them up in case this sort of problem happens.  You should also review PHP coding and MySQL commands before juming in feet first.

Uhh, you modified that SQL statement, didn't you?  So fix it.

ok..I did jump into this without knowing what to do. I tried going back into the index.php where I changed it in the first time...so how do I change it with the mySQL? Do I go through it in phpmyAdmin?

you open your index.php file. Here you have a look at the code you've changed. One part of the changed code will read DESCLIMIT. That one change back to DESC LIMIT... or start from scratch and upload a fresh index.php
