When we try to upload new image  we see this error mesage
"Destination directory albums/userpics/10001/ is not writable by the script !

well, did you make sure it is writable for the script then? CHMOD the albums folder and everything within it as suggested in the docs and the sticky thread on this sub-board. If this doesn't help, take a look at your server settings: find out if your webhost has enabled safe_mode on your site. If they have, try the silly_safe_mode settings as discussed in the docs.
