[Help wanted]: translations for coppermine 1.2.0

Please note: the original translator of russian for cpg1.1.x didn't bother to translate everything into russian - only the bits the user can see; the admin stuff (or most of it) is still in english! This makes a (in my eyes) horrible mix-up of english and russian e.g. on the config page. I'd therefor request you to download the above mentioned package and to translate the missing parts as well. Thank you in advance.

well, it's a cpg1.1 translation anyway. The cpg1.2.0 translation is full of english stuff.
I will not try to merge the existing 1.1 translation with the 1.2.0 translation. If nobody volunteers to send me a 1.2.0 translation that is fully in russian then the partly translated one will go into the next package...
You have no idea how many hours I've spent on those language files, I won't bother any longer...

The nuke version of english.php is available for translating please download make your changes and Upload Here Only about 20 new variables, should be easy to merge with your 1.2.0 version! (Romanian,Italian,Russian, Indonesian are spoken for)

I found a bug.
Problem:
In Netscape 7 page with proper meta-tag is not displayed correctly.
Solution:
Add somewhere in [language].php the line

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has picked up on this one yet.
Additionally I am curious to know how one would translate the english file such that the original polish characters become visible on the web site.
Should one use special characters in the language file? Or tags?

Polish hasn't been taken yet, so you're welcome to do it. Take a look at some other language files (best, try one with latin characters that has special chars, like czech) to see how to do that (use a plain-text editor like notepad).

We still need translators for the phpnuke version of CPG1.2.0 AFAIK only english, indonesian,italian,dutch,chinese and german have been taken. There are about 20 new variable, otherwise the rest of the translation has been done from the standalone version.

I moved/merged your posting into the translation thread. Please read this thread from the beginning, it'll give you an idea how to do a translation. Make sure you use a text editor that can handle your language and charset.

you can't send it to the download section, only dev team admins and dev team members who are flagged as "Release Technicians" can do that.

what software did you do the translation with? If you did it using M$ Word of some other well-known application, you can send me the file and I'll convert it for you.

There has been a Brazilian language file for CPG1.1.x which was made into a CPG1.2.0 language file by adding the new bits in English, so you'll have it much easier, translating only the bits that were changed from CPG1.1 to CPG1.2.0
Please use the english language file as base (to have the most recent changes) and use the Brazilian one only for reference or when in doubt.
