How are cookies the created ?

Hi,
I want to know how the cookies are created- I think they are made with the name and password, but how are they encrypted???
I want to use the cookies of copermine on other parts of my page, because the users dont want to Login several times and I want to do some parts alone anyway, like calendar and some organisation things-but I want to leave the gallery so it´s the easiest way to create this checksums with the users and passes from cpg-database and use them for verification.

So in short form- which software need I to create the cookie-checksums?

Because there is nobody who volunteered to do German support, quite simply.

Well, ok, no german support
But I can't belive that no one knows with what algorithm the cookies are made.
I also can't imagine that there are any security reasons, because I have the passwords already.
I just cant read the code because I'm a newbee. So please just say me how its called, than I can google myself

The _uid cookie is simply the user_id
The _pass cookie is an md5 hash of the password
