Database convertion

I used MySQL 4.0, however, after upgrading MySQL to 4.1 I have ran into difficulties with database.
How do I convert the old database into new one?
Can anyone help on this one?

That is what I get: "There was an error while processing a database query"

Enable debug mode and post the actual SQL error message.  If you can't access your config page, use phpMyAdmin to set debug_mode to 1 in the cpg_config table.

For some reason it's started to work, however, instead of pictures I get empty rectangles

Installed cpg142 from scratch, copied old DB ... and it works. Dunno the reason
