Hello.

After upgrading my CMG from 1.3.3 to 1.4.2, my config.php shows an error:

QuoteFatal error: Call to undefined function: db_query() in /usr/home/antoniorull.com/htdocs/fotos/config.php on line 227

What must I do to repair it?

Joachim Müller

you haven't upgraded properly, you need to overwrite all cpg1.3.x files with the ones from the 1.4 package, especially the files inside the include folder!

There is no config.php in 1.4. If you have a theme that still links to it then you need to follow the theme upgrade instructions.

I definitely followed the upgrade process to the letter and overwrote all the necessary files. Versioncheck even confirms this. Yet I have the same problem.

Sounds more like the answer. I'm using the Kubrick theme and I guess that's outdated. Problem is I can't access the config page to even switch to another theme in the meanwhile :(

Nibbler

Go to admin.php manually then.

Cheers. I've reset the theme and I've also cleaned out the theme directory and just uploaded the official 1.4.2 ones.

Problem now is half the buttons are missing on the themes.

Ah, seems if I set the language to English (US) it works. Means I can't use UTF-8 or British :(

Edit: Think I've got it... set the default language to English and set the character encoding to UTF-8, rather than pick English UTF-8 in the language.

Nibbler

You have to enable language fallback in config to use British. Also clean out all the old uft8 language files from the lang directory.
