Image views do not increase

Probed around for someone else with this issue with 1.4.2 but I did not see anything.

After upgrading to 1.4.2 when I click on an image (I am an administrator) the views do not go up.  When I logout and view the image as a Guest

the view count does go up.

Is this the way Coppermine 1.4.x is supposed to behave? Is there a way to configure it differently if that is the case?

That's intentional. The relevant code is in the theme

It's not recommended to edit include/theme.inc.php
If you must, you should edit themes/yourtheme/theme.php instead. If the section Nibbler refered to doesn't exist in your theme, copy the entire function definition from the sample theme, i.e.

I would like to take this a bit further.
Do you think there is a way to have coppermine not increasing views if I am in the admin mode, but counting views if I am in the user mode ?
