Is there any way of sorting the pcs by exif date rather than by date added?

As far as I know it's not possible right now but I would prefer to have the exif date in the the date added field as well - then it would be possible to sort after exif. But since I don't know much about PHP I have no idea how to get this working.

won't solve your exif issue, but you should upgrade from cpg1.4.2 to the most recent stable cpg1.4.3
