Lost connection to MySQL server during query

I simply cannot believe this. I successfully installed coppermine a week ago, and finally opened up my gallery last night to visitors and this morning when I tried to access it, I get this message:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Lost connection to MySQL server during query

What can I do to fix this?

It's a server issue, verify the information in include/config.inc.php is correct and contact your host.
