I knwo this sounds odd but it was working perfectly then all of a sudden the images wouldn't show unless it you close out the browser and try again and then the logo won't show which makes no sense when the site has enough bandwidth and I am on a fiberoptic connection . please have a look and tell me what the issue possibly is. I have been using coppermine for 3 years and I cannot figure it out!

everything works as expected for me. Does this happen for you only or for others as well?

it was happening for someone else also , this also happened on a friends gallery also

jenne

it works fine in firefox but not in IE, try viewing it in IE

Tranz

Worked fine in IE and Opera, too.

Have you cleared your cache in IE? Maybe your cache setting is too low.

jenne

I tried that even I have no clue what the deal is ???

Have you rebooted your computer?

jenne

yes lol I have done everything, works fine for me in firefox, which i don't care for and IE it just doesn't show any images

Joachim Müller

Try a force-refresh ([Ctrl]+[F5])

jenne

no go, I tried that and the images still won't show, I never had this happen in the older versions, my menu won't even come up if i view with IE

I have seen this problem as well.  Twice.  Just installed Coppermine on Sunday (3 days ago) for the first time and twice while browsing amongst the thumbnails that I've uploaded, after about 5 minutes or so I get the little red x on some thumbnails and some screen images.  If I continue to try browsing after a few more pages/refreshes/reloads I'll get a page cannot be displayed error.  Close the browser (as at that point I cannot get any part of the site to display), open the gallery again and no more problems.  Only have noticed this on IE.

If it's important, this is on a fresh Fedora Core 4 install...

Please also note that this has happened once while on the same local network as the server (100Mb line) and once remotely via the internet connection.

thanks.

Joachim Müller

Can happen for users who run pseudo-security software like "Norton Internet Security" or similar, which butts in and runs havoc in IE's settings. Try disabling software like that temporarily to see if it's the culprit.
