Moving Coppermine

I currently have coppermine in----> public_html/coppermine
I would like to move it to my root or---->public_html
I currently have my main page redirecting to the script, but find it to be annoying.
My question
will my coppermine stay intact and working? or will settings need to be adjusted?

you'll have to change config -> general settings -> URL of your coppermine gallery folder
