I just upgraded from 1.3.4 to 1.4.4 and everything seemed to go ok per instructions.  When I run version check it says I still have 1.3.4.  I tried uploading a new include/init.inc.php file from the 1.4.4 pack (although the upgrade instructions said not to do this - so I saved the 1.3.4 version of this file).  Anyway, the new include/init.inc.php file crashes Coppermine.  When I revert to the 1.3.4 version everything runs fine but version check shows the old version and suggests installing the newer include/init.inc.php file.

Are we all confused yet?

Make sure you uploaded all the files. include/init.inc.php MUST be uploaded.
