Edit to remove showing sub-categories underneath main one on main page?

My gallery is here:

As you see, under Appearances is the Award Shows category, but when you click on Appearances:
http://drake.fan-source.com/gallery/index.php?cat=16

It also shows the award show category in there. Is there anyway to remove the showing of subcategories on the main page?
