Before you continue with Coppermine installation, there are some problems that need to be fixed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A subdirectory called 'include' should normally exist in the directory where you uploaded Coppermine. The installer can't find this directory. Check that you have uploaded all Coppermine files to your server.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A subdirectory called 'albums' should normally exist in the directory where you uploaded Coppermine. The installer can't find this directory. Check that you have uploaded all Coppermine files to your server.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A subdirectory called 'userpics' should normally exist in the 'albums' directory. The installer can't find this directory. Check that you have uploaded all Coppermine files to your server.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A subdirectory called 'edit' should normally exist in the 'albums' directory. The installer can't find this directory. Check that you have uploaded all Coppermine files to your server.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A subdirectory called 'sql' should normally exist in the directory where you uploaded Coppermine. The installer can't find this directory. Check that you have uploaded all Coppermine files to your server.

Once you are done, hit the "Try again" button.

are they readable for the webserver? Did you set permissions as suggested in the docs? Post a link to your coppermine install!

JieCore

they are readable.

hm, hard to tell - when I try to access one of the files that is mandatory to have, e.g. http://img.ntrpg.org/sql/basic.sql I get an error message in chinese (or another asian language, please excuse my ignorance when it comes to asian languages):
Quote

When I try to access http://img.ntrpg.org/include/, I get garbled-up code fragments like
Quote/************************* Coppermine Photo Gallery ************************ Copyright (c) 2003-2006 Coppermine Dev Team v1.1 originally written by Gregory DEMAR This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version. ******************************************** Coppermine version: 1.4.4 $Source: /cvsroot/coppermine/stable/include/index.html,v $ $Revision: 1.5 $ $Author: gaugau $ $Date: 2006/02/24 13:32:44 $ **********************************************/
There either is something fishy with your server setup, or you haven't set permissions as suggested, or you haven't uploaded all files that you're mean to upload.

JieCore

I followed document to set permissions in IIS. but it still does not work. :'(

Joachim Müller

Are you by chance self-hosted? I have the suspicion that some elemental server vars don't get populated. Do as suggested in http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#VersionGD and create a phpinfo file. Run it in your browser and paste the results into a text file. Then attach the text file to your posting (using "additional options" when composing your message).

JieCore

ok, it's the result

IIS runs under the IUSR_<machine name> user
give that user the appropriate permissions
