Hi,
I just installed CPG on my local PC two hours ago and played a bit around with it. It looks great - the developers did really a great job !

I need to do lots of adjustments to the layout. i.e. I do not like users to add comments to pictures, rate pictures. I like to remove the random pictures and the newly added part and I'd like to add multi-language-Support ...

Now my questions:
1. Are there turorials around on how to adjust the appearance of CPG ? My search here in the forum found some individual posts but I was hoping for summary somewhere ....

2. What do I need to observe when I make my own theme or adjust one of the existing themes ?

3. Do you think I could do the above mentioned with just changing the files in on of the theme directories - if no which one I need to look for in the rest of the code ?

Greetings from the southern part of Germany,
(a Schwob .;-) ....)

Hi to do the above just change the config.  It's all in the docs how to do this, click on the link 'Documentation' at the top of the page.

This is a mod, that is easy to do, see this thread http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=621
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

HI Caspar,
thanks for your reply. You were right - I found some of the things in the config-File. I still had to change the menu of the theme (fruity) I am using to get some of the items out of the navigavtion and I am going to "remove" some other features from the user's eye like the possibility to sort thumbnails ...

I like CPG more and more but I also found two very nusty "bugs". I am using a RedHat 9 with a Mozilla Browser and I am not sure if the first problem is just releated to the browser or maybe a bug of the fruity theme:

When I log in as admin and than click on config the config appears only in the top frame of the browser. When I than scroll down in this small frame to save the page appears again in normal condition.

Fot the second point I will start a new thread - otherwise this might get too long for people to read :-)

please post your fruity theme issues in a separate thread as well if you think it really is a bug and want it discussed.
