Is it possible to disable user registration? I'd prefer people only view my gallery, not join it.

you can do in the config as stramm pointed out. there is also a plugin or a mod i saw somewhere. search the boards...

no mod needed nor existing afaik. The switch in coppermine's config is all that it takes.

I know you dont need a mod. simple config settings would do it.

I havent looked into it but here is a posting on a possible mod/plugin... http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=28875.0

But does that switch do this?  I was under the impression that just stops more users from registering.  AS the original poster said, I want people to come to my site and NOT have to register anymore to see the galleries.  Meaning not having to register on my site, period.

Step one: keep new users from registering
Step two: set up your site to allow non-registered visitors of your site to do what you want them to be able to do

Bottom line: you can allow guests (non-registered visitors) to rate or you can disallow this feature. Do so. You can allow them to send ecards or deny this feature. There are some more features that you (as admin) can choose to allow or disallow.
By default, guests are allowed to access your site. If this is not the case for you, then this is caused by something you changed in coppermine's config. Change it back. If you can't remember what you did, post a link to your page so we can take a look.
