Hello,
The one catalog in my gallery is showing the incorrect number of images. There are several broken (showing question Mark) images that show the same file names as images that are showing up correctly.

I went to edit the album and delete the images but get an error that says

Directory 'albums/Afkhamie Wedding/' is not writable, files can't be deleted

This isn't true. I set the permissions for 777.

Here's what I have done to try to remedy the situation.

- Uplgraded from 1.4.2 to 1.4.4, Ran update.php - didn't help
-Went to admin and update thumbs and resize photos both-Didn't help
During this process there were a number of errors when trying update.

Here the url

http://cyberpup.com/gallery

Here's a deep link to a page with broken photos.

http://cyberpup.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=11&page=16

Any ideas,

Thanks,

Alan

the page looks fine to me. Do a force-refresh.

ayoungblood

If you go to http://www.cyberpup.com/gallery and click on the wedding album, you don't see any thumbnails with red X's or question marks?

When you say "Force refresh" I assume you referring to refreshing the page in the browser. That doesn't help.

I tried it on several different browsers on the mac and PC and get broken files every time. The gallery says there are 552 images but there are really only about 492 images.

Actually, when I go to the gallery initially, I get a blank page. When I switched to classic, the gallery showed up.

I see files are missing, but not having to do with Coppermine. They are not on the server:

Did you delete the files via FTP? If you want to delete files, you need to go through Coppermine or else it won't know about the deletions.

Hi,

The broken ones have the same file names as one that exists. You may have looked for one where I deleted, the proper way through coppermine delete function in the album, the one that existed to see if I could do it.

To see what I'm speaking of search for this file name.

What I get is two images and one broken one. If you mouse over the image, you'll see that they all have the same file name.

I used the Mass Import plugin to insert these after uploading but didn't have my delay set long enough and get suspended a couple times for CPU usage by the ISP. Could this have caused the error on inserting?

This file does exist at this url

that's not where coppermine expects it to be.

Why Not?

My understanding of the documentation of mass importer is that it creates categories and catalogs based on directory structure.

IE /albums/Weddings/Afkhamie%20Wedding/

Upon import create the category Weddings and catalog Afkhamie Wedding. Which it did.  And, as you can see when I copied all the original files to a new directory, ran Mass Importer (which is awesome by the way) pointed at the Weddings directory, it made the album perfectly because I put more of a delay into mass importer this time and there were no suspensions during the import.

On the first import when the ISP suspended the site when the inserting took too much processor time, I got these broken duplucates.

To see what I'm speaking of search for this file name.

I'm just wondering how I get rid of the broken one.

you haven't mentioned before using the mass importer tool and that your account got suspended in the middle of the process.

Sorry, I went back and added that part to earlier post. My bad, I should have just posted it in a separate message.

Hey gang,

Thanks for looking into this for me but I was finally able to delete the broken album buy going to album properties, and Irreversably deleting all the files in the album. Once that was done, I was able to just hit delete on the album and it is gone.

I'm usually more patient then this trying to fix a problem but I have a bride that wants to see her pictures.

Thanks,

Alan

For this album yes. I still don't know why it did that, however.
