After someone put a hacking script  in the gallery, I decied to upgrade to the very latest version today.
I have some questions.
Main one is that there are duplicate groups in the groups section.
Are the duplicate entires going to cause problems?
Can I safely remove one from the database?

The upgrade doc says to keep your anycontent.php file
The vesion check says it is incorrect
as well as picmgmt.inc.php and versioncheck.php which I've uploaded  twice.

update -  I found newer versions of the two php files - no more red flags excpt for anycontent.php
still have duplicate groups

sorry I realize now that this is in the wrong board.

Does anyone know if it is safe to remove the duplicate groups from the MySQL database that ocurred after the upgade.

please post a screenshot of the groups table, using phpMyAdmin, browsing mode.

here's the screenshot.  I didnt include all the columns...too big.
I had to remove the gallery ans start anew, but the database is intact for nopw.
The gallery pages started giving "not found" errors right after my post.  Then I redid the upgrade and still no gallery.
Just weird.
I am moving to a new server this month, so I will start fresh with a new install.

I still am curious about thes duplicates.  I am thinking the ones with the negative  numbers are the dupes?

Joachim Müller

yes, there shouldn't be negative numbers there. Not sure what happened. Delete the groups that have a negative id (make a backup first)
