Writing a new OpenBB bridge

Hey all,

My friend's website uses the //www.openbb.com forum.  I'm planning to write a "bridge" so that he can use the coppermine gallery with that BB's login information.  I've looked through the code for the bridges of phpBB and some of the others, but without knowing the internals of those BBs as a guide.

Does anyone have any tips, information, or "gotchas" I should watch out for?
