I recently moved my website to another host.  I dutifully uploaded my files from my backup site directory on my hard drive.  Everything works fine except for coppermine, which won't open.  Here's the error:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user 'skypix7_copp1'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

My host's tech support guy, very helpful, said I'd need to rebuild the database or something.  He had me do a fresh install of coppermine, 1.42 I think, that was on the host support site, then he said I'd just have to upload images all over again, because coppermine on my original upload from backup couldn't find the database and needed to be repopulated.

Sadly, in the year+ since I created the site in GoLive and worked with Coppermine to install a custom film strip etc., I can't remember much at all about how to get it working again.  I don't do this kind of work very often and I don't want to have to spend a few days relearning how to do it...just would like to restore it to its previous functionality.

my website is:  www.skypix7.com
The old gallery was just named gallery
the new one is gallery1
I've probably screwed it all up now, but would sure appreciate any help or suggestions.

thanks

You need to restore the database from your backup and then make sure include/config.inc.php has the correct data for connecting to it.

Side note: don't use auto-installers like fantastico. Don't run outdated versions like cpg1.4.2 - the most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.6, and there are reasons why new versions get released ::).
