Could you tell me, why Fotos or Albums are shown in the Categoriers
# 'random': random files (leaving random files "on" for huge galleries with more than 10,000 pics might result in performance problems; switch random "off" in this case)
# 'lastup': last uploads
# 'topn': most viewed
# 'toprated': top rated
# 'lastcom': last comments
# 'lasthits': last viewed
# 'lastalb': last created albums
even thought the user has no access to this Album. That means that i selected a Usergroup to view the album only, but in the MainIndex the Fotos/Album is shown for everyone.
Is this a feature or a bug?
Or how could i change this?

Thanks for your help.

I am a little confused at to what your asking.

as for showing toprated etc on your main page this is a feature, your private albums wont show on these features if thats what your asking?

Well you probably don't have the album permissions set up properly.
Just click on the 'PROPERTIES' button for that album.
Now in the section labeled 'Permissions for this album' you'll need to change the 'Album can be viewed by' drop down box to the appropriate setting.

Does the issue you ask support for on this thread deal with the same thing you posted on the German support board? If yes, I would like to close this thread, as your question is very confusing.

Paver

This might be this bug on the Bugs board if you are using 1.4.6.  Try the fix there.  If you have an earlier version, it is not this bug.

Silence means approval, so I'm closing both threads. Resolving the threads you started will make supporters much more willing to look into future issues... ::)
