Can you please advise how to remove the "add your comment" and "rate this picture" options below each image.

in admin mode, go to 'groups', and turn off the ability for each group you don't want to do it.  Only those allowed to do it can see the boxes.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
