PHP Nuke theme help

Hello all,

I'm a bit of a newbie so go easy. I have read loads of information on these boards but cannot find the info I need, nothing seems specific to php nuke themes, apologies if it's on here! So here goes...

I would like to create graphic buttons for the main menu as below

I have tried loads of things but cannot find out where to config this. Also, the options (links) do not stretch across and wrap down IE: My Favourites / Search, is this MAIN_MENU?

I know this sounds really easy but I just cannot fathom it out
