Is there a way to have albums on more than one HD?  My main C: drive will fill up soon, and I'd like to add an external HD.  According to the ? icon next to the albums path in "config" there is no provision for multiple HD's nor absolute paths.

How can I add albums space by adding HD space not replacing it.

First of all, self-hosting is not recommended by the dev team & supporters, due mainly to security concerns.  Other threads discuss this, if you want to read more details.

To answer your question: Coppermine requires all albums & photos to exist under one directory, the one set in the configuration.  There might be a hack to do otherwise, but I don't know if there is.  Theoretically since Coppermine stores the filepath for each file, you could have the picture anywhere that's accessible publicly online.  So with an appropriate hack, add-on, or plugin, you should be able to add files from other directories.  There's a hack for a "remote storage server" on the mods board, for example.

There also might be a way to have a soft-link under the main directory to directories elsewhere, but I'm not sure how.  Once again, security concerns would become important if you try this since you might inadvertently expose system files or personal files.

There's a Windows-equivalent to Symlinks that behaves similarly, maybe this will help you. Check http://www.pearlmagik.com/winbolic/
