Upgrading themes a must?

Hi,

Is there somewhere info during updates if the theme files must be updated? I´m now upgrading from 1.4.x to 1.4.8 on many custom themed sites. I would like to use the old theme files if there hasn´t been any updates to them.

you don't need upgrade 1.4.x theme for 1.4.8 all of them are compatible
but for other ver (1.3.x) you can find how to at Main Documentation & theme upgrade documentation
