A bit of help please

How do I remove all the buttons from the login php except the regester and login buttons?
I looked on the forum and found a lot of things dealing with button removel.
I gave it a try and it removed the buttons from the index.php also can some one please tell me how to go about getting just the login.php fixed the way I want?
