Problems with comments after 1.3.5->1.48

After clean intall of 1.48, importing the 1.35 database to this gallery and running update.php i have a small problem with comments.

In 1.35 they are OK, but in 1.48 there are some "new lines" in the comments, like tis:

I use digital flow theme and think the problem is there.
Where to look for the problem ?

pay attention to last word of each string
do you see? after every "e" you have a new line! so I think it's character setting issue or some code injection filtering

When i write i new comment with the same text, there is no problem.

This with the letter "e" is an accident. In other pic there are many other combinations
