Replace Buttons with GIF-Images

Hello

I´m running CPG v1.4.6 and integrated it to SMF/Enigma. It´s working fine!

But now i´d like to change the theme a bit, to make it looking more like Enigma. And as Enigma uses GIF-Files as Buttons i thought if it is possible to do it the same way in CPG. The themes i tested up to now, all do it the standard way with normal links.

Can somebody give me a hand with this or is it too much coding and too much time to spend? Maybe you know a theme like this, where i could see how to do it.
