Modify Sef_url ?

Hello
The sef_url plugin is working fine for me :-)
But i had to copy and paste the ht.txt in my / (my server root path) and rename it in .htaccess by hand, after installed in coppermine.
I want to modify it : instead of the word "thumbnails" for example, i would like to have the word "coloriage".
I know i have to modify the .htaccess of my /
Should i modify other files ?
