I just upgraded my coppermine from 1.4.3 to 1.4.8
and removed the bridging with phpBB 2.0.19.

As a "problem" I have that the users are now left behind to phpBB
and they aren't in CPG at all.

I tried looking for help in moving the phpBB users to CPG with no luck.
Anyone fancy helping me out ?

Coppermine install: http://www.partanen.net/gallery
Forum install: http://www.partanen.net/forum
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.8
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.19
Test user account: test / test

EDIT :
Added test user account for GauGau

I'm not sure, but does this help?

Maybe you have to copy users from phpBB's "users" table-data?

Why N/A? Do as suggested if you need help.

I have absolutely no idea why would you want a basic test user account for use when
I ask a question about transferring user data between databases...

I added the account info to first post.
User : test
password : test

To test potential cookie issues. That's why we have the instructions in the sticky. You should leave the decision to us what we need to support.

I asked more for this matter.. and get simple answer for it.

Quotewhat phpMyAdmin doing this is the same as what Bob Field said.

using phpMyAdmin:
1. browse phpMyAdmin page, login, select database.
2. click Browse Table or View Table Structure of the table you want to duplicated
3. click Operations under xxxSERVER > xxx DATABASE > xxx TABLE line, then you will see a Copy/Duplicate Table operation with some options such as StuctureOnly、Structure&Data、DataOnly...

I tried it, but it didn't work properly. Table was exactly same than phpBB's "users" table. But Coppermine gived alert "can't connect to the database". I dropped my idea to unbridging and i cleaned out all that testforum/gallery.  :-\ Too many workhours for nothing.

Maybe phpBB's "users" table structure is not compactible..  ???

Nibbler

They are not compatible. 'unbridging' is not a supported option.

I wish that this would be clearly stated in the docs in the future.
Maybe this is not a supported method, but a feature needed for some users like us two.

Thnx.

The docs explain that when bridging, there's no coppermine user management. Instead, the user management of your BBS is being used. As a conclusion, when unbridging you lose all user data. This is to be expected. You have to carefully make up your mind when bridging.
